THE INVITATION
“In 1947 I was in correspondence with Harry Price about several hauntings, including Borley.”
“After I had sent him a report on a curious case that I investigated at Long Melford, he added a note to his reply, handwritten:
‘I am wondering whether the Ghost Club interests you?’
So I became a member of this famous club, originally founded in 1862.”
“Little did I imagine when I accepted his invitation, that thirteen years afterwards I would become its President.”

Early the following year however,
there is misfortune at the Ghost Club.
